Green Hour

The National Wildlife Federation has a nice web site called Green Hour that features activities, book recommendations, a weekly podcast, recipes, and other resources for parents who want to explore nature with their kids. The NWF encourages kids to go outside and play for an hour every day—a green hour. Here are a few ideas I like that lend themselves well to nature journaling.

Treasure Hunt
Moon Journal
Photo Shoot
Weather Journal
